Jio & Associates는 하이엔드 오리지널 커스텀 키보드를 중심으로 작업하는 독립 디자인 스튜디오입니다.
우리는 키보드를 의식적인 창작과 표현을 위한 도구로 바라봅니다. 우리의 디자인 과정은 하나의 추상적인 개념에서 출발해 복잡성을 더하기보다는 불필요한 요소를 덜어내는 방향으로 전개됩니다. 이 과정에서 타이핑을 단순한 입력 행위가 아닌, 걷기·글쓰기·트리거를 당기는 행위와 같은 인간의 근본적인 동작으로 바라봅니다.
현재 우리의 작업은 40% 레이아웃과 미니멀한 입력 경험을 중심으로 진행되고 있습니다. 구조와 소재를 절제된 방식으로 사용함으로써, 불필요한 자극을 줄이고 사용자의 주의가 다시 사고와 표현 자체로 돌아가도록 하는 것을 목표로 합니다.
Jio & Associates의 디자인 언어는 조용하고 신중하며 장기적인 성격을 지니고 있으며, 일반적인 소비자 전자제품 브랜드라기보다 하나의 디자인 프랙티스에 가까운 태도를 지향합니다. 앞으로 우리는 일렉트로-캐패시티브 키보드에 대한 탐구를 지속하고, 인간의 입력 행동을 중심으로 한 일관된 디자인 시스템을 정교하게 발전시켜 나갈 것입니다.

We approach the keyboard as a tool for conscious output. Our design process begins with a single abstract concept and moves toward reduction rather than complexity, focusing on typing as a fundamental human action—closer to walking, writing, or triggering.
Our current work centers on 40% layouts and minimalist input experiences. Through restrained use of structure and materials, we aim to reduce distraction and allow attention to return to thought and expression.
The design language of Jio & Associates is quiet, deliberate, and long-term in nature, with a temperament closer to a design practice than a consumer electronics brand. Looking ahead, we will continue exploring electro-capacitive keyboards and refining a coherent design system around human input behavior.
